These don’t compare to Vans at all, they might look similar but they aren’t. After buying my first pair (suede slip on) they actually felt way better fitted, taller, roomier on the toes and lasted so much longer, try them before you comment. Vans feel like socks after a week. These still feel sturdy after a month and they are so low priced. Definitely money well spent on skate shoes.
I came across STRAYE because Jamie Thomas skates for them. Jamie Thomas' "Venice Jamie Thomas (Roll Til Death) Inspired Colorway" unfortunately is not vegan. STRAYE have the following styles available and most of them are just canvas and rubber toe caps, and the STRAYE website refers to them as vegan-friendly which I appreciate and which might save them answering a lot of emails.
